1.RESEARCH AREAS & INTERESTS
Treatment and management of solid, liquid, and gaseous wastes associated with blasting materials; environmental impacts of blasting operations and green, intelligent management strategies; multiphase-flow modeling of blast-generated dust and hazardous gas dispersion; numerical simulation of fluid flow and solute transport in fractured rock; in situ management of deep groundwater environments; and environmental technologies supporting sustainable blasting.
2.PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Dr. Xingtao Liu is a faculty member at the National Key Laboratory of Precision Blasting, Jianghan University. His research focuses on waste management associated with blasting materials, environmental impacts and intelligent management of blasting operations, multiphase dispersion of dust and hazardous gases, and coupled fluid-flow and solute-transport processes in fractured rock. His work also encompasses in situ groundwater management and environmental technologies for green blasting.
He has experience in spectroscopic characterization, gaseous product analysis, hydro-biogeochemical investigations, high-speed diagnostics, conceptual model development, and numerical simulation. His current interests include blasting-induced disturbances and coupled multiphysics processes under complex geological conditions; seepage and contaminant migration and transformation in fractured rock; environmental effects of energetic materials; environmental risk assessment and safety management in underground engineering; and pollution prevention and control in blasting applications.
He has authored or co-authored four academic papers and holds one granted utility model patent, as reported in the source profile. His research has appeared in Journal of Hydrology, Water Research, and Energy Reports.
