Li Zhi received his Ph.D. from Tianjin University and completed postdoctoral research. He is a Senior Engineer and has been selected for the Wuhan Talent Program. He is also recognized as a national science and technology expert, a science and technology expert of the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and an expert listed in the Wuhan Science and Technology Expert Database. He serves as a Young Editorial Board Member of China Safety Science Journal and Safety Emergency Science. His current work focuses on cutting-edge fundamental and applied research integrating artificial intelligence with explosion mechanics, testing and analysis, and engineering safety inspection and assessment. His research interests include: the theory and testing techniques of explosions and blasting; shaped-charge blasting theory and equipment development; intelligent inspection and safety assessment of engineering structures; embedded development of test sensors; and engineering applications of deep-learning algorithms in explosion mechanics and engineering safety. He has led more than ten research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, provincial natural science foundations, other provincial- and ministerial-level research programs, and industry collaborations. He received the Second Prize of the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Changjiang Water Resources Commission. As first or corresponding author, he has published more than 20 papers in leading academic journals, including GPS Solutions, Ocean Engineering, Explosion and Shock Waves, Engineering Mechanics, China Safety Science Journal, and Chinese Journal of Geotechnical Engineering. He has applied for more than 20 patents.
