Research Experience

State Key Laboratory of Precision Blasting, Jianghan University

Wuhan, China

Distinguished Associate Professor (since Jul 2025) and Principal Investigator

Dec 2023 – Present

  • Research question: Lead research on energetic materials design and energy release, solid propellant combustion, safety science and engineering, and blasting mechanisms with explosion accident investigation.

  • Methods: Work on aluminum-based, fluorinated and gelled propellants through multiphase burning analysis, aluminum ignition and agglomeration, condensed-phase product evolution, high-pressure combustion stability, temperature and plume spectroscopy, and infrared radiometry, supported by gradient-porosity loading, molecular fluorination and quantum chemical calculations.

  • Contribution and output: Hold nine research grants as principal investigator funded on first submission, including an NSFC Young Scientists Fund and national Belt and Road projects, and publish 13 first or corresponding-author papers with several patents. Three papers join the representative outputs of the laboratory and two appear as cover articles. Also provide forensic support to public security authorities on explosion evidence and scene reconstruction.
