Zhang Chunwei, Distinguished Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Precision Blasting. He received his Ph.D. in Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Engineering and Protective Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2005. He has been selected into national high-level talent programs and young talent programs. With 17 years of research experience in universities both in China and abroad, he has led over 20 national and ministerial-level research projects, including key initiatives under the National Key R&D Program. He has published more than 100 SCI-indexed journal papers with an H-index of 38 and has been listed in the World's Top 2% Scientists rankings for both Single Year Impact and Career-Long Impact. He holds over 20 authorized Chinese invention patents and more than 30 authorized patents in major developed countries, including the U.S., Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia, and South Korea. His accolades include one National Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Class), four provincial/ministerial-level first prizes, and the Japan Society of Seismic Isolation Prize, among others. He serves as an editorial board member for five prestigious international journals, including International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics. His main research areas include blast-resistant structures, impact-resistant structures, protective engineering, and structural vibration control.
