
Prof. Yongsheng Jia, a Second-Class Professor and doctoral supervisor holding a Doctor of Engineering degree, currently serves as Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Jianghan University. His key academic appointments include Executive Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Precision Blasting, Director of Hubei Key Laboratory of Blasting Engineering, and Chairman of Wuhan Blasting Co., Ltd. He holds prominent positions in professional organizations: Executive Council Member of China Blasting Association, Director of the Engineering Blasting Professional Committee under the Chinese Society Mechanics, and President of Hubei Provincial Engineering Blasting Association. Additionally, he serves on the editorial boards of the journal Blasting and the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (JRMGE). Specializing in explosion mechanics and blasting engineering research and education, Prof. Jia has been honored with two Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, three First Prizes and one Second Prize of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, along with one Special Prize and six First Prizes from the China Blasting Association for scientific advancements. His intellectual property portfolio comprises 10 authorized invention patents, 16 utility model patents, and 7 software copyrights. He has compiled three national-level construction methodologies and authored over 100 academic publications.
