Recently, Stanford University and the internationally renowned academic publisher Elsevier jointly released the "2025World's Top 2% Scientists". Prof. Jiang Nan from our lab has been successfully listed in the "2025 Single-year Impact Ranking".
Prof. Jiang Nan currently serves as the Director of the Institute of Explosion Mechanics at the State Key Laboratory of Precision Blasting. His research primarily focuses on the control of dynamic effects in blasting, the prediction and evaluation of blasting safety. This selection fully demonstrates Prof. Jiang Nan's outstanding academic contributions and influence on a global scale. It also strongly reflects the continuous enhancement of the laboratory's scientific research strength and international influence in the field of blasting engineering science, under the exemplary leadership of Academician Xie Xianqi.
It is understood that the World's Top 2% Scientists list is divided into two main parts: the "Career-long Impact Ranking" and the "Single-yearImpact Ranking." From nearly 7 million scientists worldwide, the list selects the top 2% based on comprehensive parameters such as the number of citations of their papers, h-index, co-author-adjusted hm-index, and citations of articles where they are the sole or first author. The list covers 22 major fields and 174 subfields. It provides a measure of scientists' long-term research performance, objectively and authentically reflecting their academic influence, making it a globally influential and credible list of scientific prowess.
