Shibin Lin, Ph.D.

Professor


Dr. Lin is a professor at the State Key Laboratory of Precision Blasting at Jianghan University. Dr. Lin has been dedicated to research and teaching in the field of nondestructive testing in civil engineering. He has achieved a series of innovative results in stress wave propagation theory, nondestructive testing technologies, testing software and hardware development, and engineering applications. He has led or participated in over 20 national and local research projects, published more than 40 SCI-indexed journal papers, and holds 8 authorized invention patents and 4 software copyrights. He has contributed to the compilation of 5 standards and authored 3 books. His work has earned him one provincial second prize for technological invention, and one first prize and one second prize from professional societies. The testing equipment he has developed has been applied in dozens of engineering projects.

Dr. Lin serves as an editorial board member or guest editor for 4 SCI-indexed journals and is a member of 8 professional committees. He is an editorial board member of the international SCI journal Advances in Civil Engineering and a guest editor for Buildings and Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration. Additionally, he holds memberships in 7 international professional committees, including 3 with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), 2 with the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), and 2 with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
