
Basic Information:
Prof. Yao Yingkang, male, born in September 1981, holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, serves as professor/senior engineer, and a master's degree supervisor. Currently the deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Precision Blasting, he concurrently serves as a member of the Expert Committee of China Blasting Industry Association and the Standardization Committee of China Blasting Industry Association. He acts as a peer reviewer for Chinese Core Journals including Blasting and Engineering Blasting. His main research areas include building/structure demolition blasting, rock and soil blasting, and blast resistance/mitigation for infrastructure. He has led seven research projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC General Program of China), sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, Hubei Provincial Young Scientific Talent Program, Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation General Program, and Wuhan Knowledge Innovation Special Project. He has published over 80 academic papers, obtained 12 patents, compiled one national-level construction method and two provincial/ministerial-level construction methods. Prof. Yao has been honored two First Prizes and one Second Prize of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as two First Prizes of scientific and technological progress from the China Blasting Industry Association. He has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Researcher in Wuhan and a recipient of the Wuhan May Fourth Youth Medal.
