Sun Jinshan, born in July 1980, Ph.D. in Hydraulic Structures from Wuhan University (2008). He is currently a Professor, Master’s Supervisor, and Deputy Director of the Blasting Research Institute. His research interests focus on underground construction and engineering blasting, with sustained engagement in both teaching and scientific research.
Professor Sun teaches several core courses, including Underground Building Structure, New Theory and Technology of Engineering Blasting, and Underground Building Design and Construction, among others. In recent years, he has led three research projects funded by national foundations and over ten additional scientific research initiatives.
He has published over 70 academic papers, with more than 30 of them authored as the first or corresponding author. He holds over ten granted invention patents. His research contributions have been recognized with two National Science and Technology Progress Awards and five additional awards at the provincial or ministerial level.
